refreshing

like others mentioned, this is a nice break from everything else that is newgrounds. i always love watching this series evolve.

lol. i used to love that song.

anyways, the animation is really good, but the graphics could be improved on. try using more paintbrush and less line tool.
maybe make it a bit longer, too. with maybe a scene of the actualy experiment?
i liked it though.

pretty cool, but...

well, i did like some of the jokes. i laughed alot at the Quaker Oats line at the end lol (its true, too...)

but then there where things like "oookaayy, where is that music coming from?" that are like, extremely overused.

i realize it was for a school project, so you prolly only did this in a couple days, but the characters could have been drawn a little better. you where prolly going for a thick-line chibi style thing, but it was way to thick and messy to work that way. Just try using a smaller brush size next time and youll be ok. Also, the trees and houses needed to be improved alot. too blocky. try stepping away from the line tool.

I only gave style a 4 because it was basic chibi. i like anime (and especially chibi (^_^)
but its way to basic. especially if you want to expand your skills. but i also realize that its super easy and efficiant when making a quick flash.

i gave sound a 5 because you had voices, but you could have done them better, and it sonded like you had the mic close to your face at points.

over all, i liked it :)

finally, a kurt cobain flash

i guess this was more or less a tribute, but it really should have had some more stuff in it with his musical life, though this was more of a mellow and deep movie.
Im a HUGE nirvana fan, iv heard all of their reecorded songs and most of their un-released music. But, im also a HUGER kurt cobain fan. I know alot about him and have looked alot into (almost studied) him. Im not gonna go into detail about what was wrong or missing because i ususally get picky on this subject, but ill tell you about the flash itself.
The animation was OK i guess, but you could have added smoother movment and more effects to things like the letters changing on the clinic. You could have presented yourself better than "Kurt Cobain-Final Hours" or w/e and then in big sloppy letters "whateveryournameis"... i get picky by presentation because i dont see alot of people putting time into the package, when they have already put alot of time into the movie. Its like you got lazy and did it right before you put it on NG.
im fine with black and white, but if you make another, make sure the drawings are a bit better. they where good, just a little 5-secondish here and there.
the blood shot at the end was cool, and you seemed to get al of the props for his suicide except 1 thing: his bottle of root beer.
also, i liked how you copied the cover of his journal. it looked good.
i kinda like how you used a version of sappy, though i prolly woulda chose sumthin different.

well

the voices where nicely done, and the animation was pretty nice, though you could have had multiple head angles, so you dont have to flip them.
it was long, so i give you credit there, because it seems you put time into it. but most longer movies on NG these days are series like this, with no amazing art work, so it gets hard to watch. at first i thought it would just be one of those normal little series that 12 year olds try to make about 2 friends who do absolutly nothing, you know? while the voices where childish with the main characters (by that i mean it sound like your a young kid) they where still good and lip synched well. You could improve the way your characters are put together, because alot of times you can see where they fall apart and the lines dont connect.
present yourself better, but not so much that it makes you look like a douche bag that thinks theyre all that already. what i mean is, make your loading screen flashier and with more colors and different fonts and designs, but dont make it have some sort of "official logo" followed by "-your name- PRODUCTIONS" because it puts people off when you havnt accomplished much in publicity for your movies, and flash greats REALLY cant stand it.
anyways, i hope this review helped a bit.
next time, work on the art a little more. and was jordan like a monkey or somthing? with those HUGE ears??

all it is is a longer and better voiced version of Teen Girl Squad from Homestar Runner. the jokes are totally modeled and stolen off of it.

it is long and the voices are better like i said before. props to the nerds voice cuz that was funny, but im still gonna give this a low rating for being like TGS
